  12. Ok… I’m getting a little worried here. It’s episode 15 and the plot is wearing thin… how are the writers going to drag 65 more eps? There needs to be more compelling plotlines. The Zhongqi and Aijia pairing can’t carry the show for 65 more episodes. Unless of course… (and I’m letting my imagination run wild here) the sister starts to do a Winter Sonata and starts to chase Zhongqi, since I’ve noticed she has this unnatural fondness for him, and Aijia gets a VERY credible love interest. A good, smarmy, chauvinistic character that sweeps Aijia off her feet and impresses her dad… that would get Zhongqi fired up enough to want to win her heart. 

    In the next ep I’m GLAD that Zhongqi doesn’t admit that he likes Ai Jia, cos it’s still really early in the show.I would suggest that the writers try to put in the mix some corporate thriller, bodyguard action… which is the whole point of this show. I still can’t feel for the Cai Jie – Alan pairing and it’s getting a little annoying and stale. I only like the little kid. Alan’s a little stiff…

    It’s really tough to do a 80-ep idol cum family drama if you don’t have enough watchable elements that tug at your heartstrings, and believable characters. I hope I’m not right when I prophesy here, but I think I see the beginnings of a catastrophic 2nd half… but hopefully the tempo of the show will be kept up and it will remain fun, and there won’t be any crazy melodramatic elements (i.e.WEEPING MOTHERS AND PINING EX’s… EW), and there will still be cute banter between our lead couple. 

    I would love to see them flesh out Ai Jia’s dad and Qingmei ahyi’s stories… and I quite like Cai Jie’s cutie pie brother… if only they could develop the peripheral characters a little more… it would be good, so we won’t just bank on one couple to watch this show for another 65 eps. Please, show, don’t die out now, we’re counting on you to raise Xiao Gui’s profile! He does look super good in this show because of the suits he wears, and his hair. Heh.

    • I agree… at this rate there is not much to expand on and there seems to be a lack of side characters.. like in Inborn Pair I think there were 3 couple’s stories they could expand on and in Ti amo there was wei li and xiao xiao, 007 and xi hui and the main couple xi en and chocolate. Here there seems to be only 2 couples? I wouldn’t mind if they elaborated on qingmei ah yi’s kids as well! They should have a sideplot !! Or maybe expand on xiao gui’s friends!!

    • oh no i really hope it wont become like ti amo. hahah but reading what you wrote, i feel like i agree with you. actually can we just take cai jie out of the show n introduce a new female instead? hahhaha but judging from the photos posted on weibo, there will be scenes btw alan and gui, so i suspect the secret gonna’s come out soon? 🙂 i have faith in fung kai dao yan so….im gonna take it one ep at a time. 🙂

    • Honestly they can keep trying but I don’t think any of these 80 ep dramas are going to get as far and as good as Inborn Pair. Just my 2 cents, but TAC was pretty much a disaster, and who knows, this drama might step it up a notch in a couple more episodes. Let’s just hope for the best I guess.

  13. I still feel like cai jie and alan don’t have that much chemistry? I also think such a dramatic scene where cai jie blurts out “I love you” should be introduced in latter episodes like near the end of the drama? Dunnoo feels weird…. otherwise what other complications is this couple gonna face?

  19. i dun see how can this show be developed into 80 episodes. not tat it is not gd. juz tat given the limited number of characters, i think if it drags too long the story will be too draggy and uninteresting in the middle.

    • I think for a newbie actress her acting is quite okay though I have to say that she have to put more feelings into her character

      • Being newbie is not the excuse of acting poorly for the second female lead
        Her reconciliation with Alan in this episode is just ODD and UNCONVINCING

        • Or maybe it’s just written bad, she’s honestly not that bad of an actress, just the emotional parts are coming way too early and we haven’t developed that for the characters yet but apparently they have in the drama.
