Hmm seems like it’s foreshadowing that Qiu Qiu is Wei Lan’s kid. The photo of in Wei Lan’s flashback looks like the one that Qiu Qiu has. And Qiu Qiu is kinda dark, so makes sense that she’s a mix of Wei Lan and that black guy lol. Most likely she got knocked up from her one night stand and wanted to believe the kid is Xiao Jie’s so she lied to the kid with the photo. Though that doesn’t explain Qiu Qiu’s sad history at the orphanage…
didn’t they do a DNA test that qiu qiu is XJ’s kid?
but in the earlier episodes when wei lan rings her cousin and the kid in the background who talks is meant to be the daughter she gave away?
