  36. aw man i’m not hating at first i was totally turned off cause i saw jiro as the lead guy T_T i’m just a tad bit tired of him i see him everywhere T_T. but trying to give this a chance and not be bias T_T i use to like him so much but i just want to see fresh faces 🙂 i love the cast so far. gahhh 🙂 i miss Fahrenheit as a group 🙁

  63. I love the shin woo in this drama!!! I also loved him in KO One, he is absolutely gorgeous. (I know someone who looks sooo much like him！！！。 Jeremy is not horrible looking but i do admit the jeremy in the korean version is better!!!! Also I like wang dong cheng, at least i like him better as the lead then the one in the korean verzion.

  74. Jiro looks great and the performance from the whole cast is pretty good! This drama, judging from the first episode, is quite promising. I have not seen the Korean or Japanese version before and am not concerned if it is original or not. Regarding those who commented below and seemed to have “divine right” on deciding who is a good actor or who looks “ugly”, hopefully these commenters can get a life and move on. Really, if one doesn’t like something and that something is not mandatory to his/her life, just let go. See, there is no need to be bitter when you are only watching a TV show. Cheers!

    • I think I understand how some of the commenters are feeling. I really thought the drama was really promising, and I was upset that the actors/ actresses did not meet my expectations. I am merely voicing my opinions. And, hopefully, if enough people are unhappy with the choice selections, maybe they would pick actors and actresses that are more suitable for our tastes in the future. You don’t have to agree with me or the people who commented, though (:

      • It is an endless cycle trying to find ‘suitable’ actors and actresses to please everyone. Personally, I feel that the acting skills are more important. Actors/Actresses can change to fit their roles.

    • i think the cast and series had a lot of potential but i’m a little disappointed at how much of a ‘copy’ it is to the original. seeing as it’s the 3rd remake of the story already, i feel like they should have spiced the story up a little to make it interesting, at the moment its EXACTLY the same as the korean version from the series of events that happen down to the tiniest details such as go mi nam’s facial expression. I feel like the actress is mimicking park shin hye too much and not making the character her own. evan yo as jeremy on the other hand came as totally unexpected to me, i would have never pegged him as a jeremy but he’s doing a surprisingly good job so far.

      so yea, if this was my first time watching this story, like you for example, i would probably quite enjoy it but since it’s my third time already i feel like the taiwan version hasn’t added anything new to the mix to keep it interesting. at least with hana kimi and boys over flower, each version switched it up a bit and added their own twist to the story to keep the viewers interested.

  81. This first episode was really good! I like the little details they added but also the “old” things with this new point of view. I think actors are doing a great job… Jiro is really credible as Hwan Tae Kyung character. I mean, this is a new performance of You’re beautiful, so every character has to be new, in some way. I liked korean version so much but I think that this one is pretty good!

  83. I support Jiro all the way! I have no bias towards the orginal version (Korean) or Japanese version. I love Sukkie and Tama-chan as much as Jiro. They’re my “David, Thomas, and Julian.” LOL. My Tae-Kyung/ Ren/ TaiJing. Stop criticizing. If you don’t like it, don’t watch. If you’re not impressed, don’t watch. If you’re just going to hate, don’t watch. Nobody’s forcing you anyway. I support this drama until the end.

  88. My only response to some of the below comments- Jiro is human, he has feelings. If you don’t someone criticizing you don’t say anything about them. Aaron is also human he has feelings also, if you can’t say something nice say nothing at all. Humans are rash (fans are even more rash) so for the sake of the internet being clean (of bashing from anonymous people) keep your comments to yourself.

    • I’ve seen the Japanese and Korean version and truthfully I think that comparison is just all personally opinion the 1st one was really good, and the Japanese one was just like all the other ones a good emotion jerker but I still love my Taiwanese dramas “Its a remake that is original”

  93. I know that many people on here may not like Jiro, but I feel like you have to give the guy some credit at least. Although I’ve always loved him in the silly, humorous characters that he played for previous dramas, I think that he’s not doing too bad of a job in this drama. He’s really improved a lot since his debut. Sure, this is only another idol drama remake, he’s not a perfect singer, and the Korean version will most likely top it, but he’s Jiro freaking Wang and it’s going to work out.

      • I don’t think there’s that many anti-Jiro fans, tbh. Most of the negative comments seem to have been written by the same person under different accounts. Anyway, they dislike him so much but they watched the episode and commented on it even before most of Jiro’s fans 😛 He’s Jiro FREAKING Wang, alright. No one can remain indifferent to him!

    • I have watched the original Korean drama and Japanese version, and based on this first episode of the Taiwan remake, it does not disappoint. Jiro makes a good TaiJing. True that he can’t be Jang Keun-Suk or Tama-chan, but he shows a different take on the character. I love the story and I like Jiro. I believe he’ll be able to portray the character well. The other cast members are fairly new, but they look promising as well. I’m going to watch this drama until the end. I’m anticipating every episode. DaDong! Wo ai ni! ^_^

  95. I doubt this version will top the original. This cast is pretty but the original cast was quite perfect and no way is Jiro Wang gna outdo Jang Geun Suk’s Tae Kyung. But to be fair, though are some big shoes to fill for Jiro Wang and this version.

    • Yes, Jiro should not take any more remake dramas. People tend to compare him with the original versions & this is really bad for his image. If this is a first / original version, viewers will rate him differently.

      • The thing is… it’s not up to Jiro which dramas he can do or not. He has a contract, and ultimately his management company is the one who decides which dramas he stars in. Right now, they’re just milking their golden cow as much as they can to promote their new artists (it happened with KO2 and now it’s happening the same with Fabulous Boys). His contract will finish soon, though. After that I doubt he’ll make any more remakes. I doubt he’ll take any more idol dramas, to be honest.

Anyway this is just the 1st episode, perhaps when the story moves on, viewers will get used to his looks & expression. Frankly, he imitated Hwang Tae Keung not bad though…..

          • Well, I don’t think comparing is bad. Comparing is another way that can help people improve. Also I don’t think he’s trying to imitate Hwang Tae Keung because the directors are the ones to choose how they should act like on the scene.

  113. It’s weird how many people don’t like that jiro wang is playing the main role. Although I think it would be better if someone else acted, someone who doesnt acted as main role in any of the taiwanese dramas, but I think Jiro wang is not bad. I think he is good actor….

He’s been playing the same type of character (mysterious, quiet, angry at times) ever since he KO1, and yet he’s still as bad as he was back then… Don’t fool yourself. Anw i think Aaron’s acting did improved since KO1, people said Jiro’s role is decided by his management company, isnt it the same for aaron? i think the company knows he is good in acting those mysterious, quiet role, thats why this few years the drama he acted in are the same type of character.

        • Jiro and aaron’s management company is the same (Jiro did leave HIM, but he’s still with COMIC… for now). Yet, when it comes to these high profile roles in high profile dramas, who’s their first choice? Jiro. Anyway, it’s all a matter of taste. You think Jiro is not a good actor while aaron is good, I think it’s the opposite (aaron is a better singer, though). And an artist can’t improve if he doesn’t get out of his comfort area. Jiro is finally doing something different from the cute, dorky, happy-go-luck roles, especially in the movies he’s acted in. Maybe aaron should try and do the same 😉
