  1. i like the ending. and a lesson learned is > be strong to tell the person you love him/her before regretting and everything is over. They loved each other so the ending is right. just that is too rush for the ending. can be better. !

  2. This is too rushed … even if this drama meant JR and YF to be together at the end, it should not happen in the wedding episode and at the wedding!!!
To have YF walk away from HR at the wedding is so cruel to HR .. HR was a little slow in expressing his true feelings for YF but he is still more upfront than JR but he is genuine with his love for YF, not just a DP matter. HR is scared of losing YF to JR and he is so magnanimous! For XE to just give up and said that she had wanted to see JR get back with YF is simply illogical, going away for 8 months is not it and JR doubts it is true!

    • I agree with you.. it was unfair to HR.. but thats what the director wanted.. Great performance.. maybe a better drama in the future. 🙂

  3. Yes…hate the ending!!!! It’s like what most of us predict. She will end up with JR. What a Lousy story. Applause for HR acting!!!

  4. JR flicks his out-of-fashion 70s long hair, drops a few crocodile tears, men and women all want cuddle him. Wake up, he is a player and a spoilt brat. He simply does not want others to play with his toys. Remember DB tried to play with his Iron Man? He was horrified and almost burst into tears. I mean that long hair wimp, not DB. Yes, he treats women like a play things too.

He purposely left his computer behind in YF’s house knowing somehow someone would take a peek at it. How could one forget leaving behind a heavy bag? Wasn’t he busy writing some “heart felt” letters to every picture of DB that he “had no intention to send”? So happened he was not writing that night too?

My take is JR was too busy washing his hair that very night. Afterall he has long hair that needs TLC. Every episode, he keeps flciking it we know. Advice to YF, hair wash day, JR may even lose DB in Watson because he can’t decide between Pantene or Revlon?? Decision, decision… Damn, where is XE when one needs her?

Poor HR, oh well, shave off that comical tashe, keep long hair. I am sure better luck next time.

  5. Ok what just happened? I’m confused.. So..did YF just went and accepted JR after he admitted that he was a bad guy, made some bad mistakes? Or was that not the case? HR was pouring his heart out and even showing his weak side in front of YF, in which she FINALLY understood that she was taking HR for granted. (BTW, Melvin did a great job acting here when he was pouring his emotions. it made me want to cry also. Very touching scene)

But really writers? Why does HR have to get kicked to curb for being an honest guy? At least HR said what he wanted to say and not hide himself around others like JR. I mean I agree with everyone else that this episode felt rushed (and super short) JR’s entrance was a bit strange/odd too in the wedding. (Right when ML was going to give birth. I also still can’t believe she keeps texting JR and telling him EVERYTHING that goes with YF’s life. NOSY!)

Great job to the cast for putting up with a crazy storyline/script. I wish the best to Annie and Melvin and the others for their next drama series! 🙂

  6. 剧情急转直下,尤其是晓恩的心态转变。太突然了。欠说服力。虽然黄河是男一,但我觉得他与谢佳见的戏分一样多。。。

    • I think because of the 谢佳见popularity in the other tv show, that’s why he got more as a second lead in this show.

I still like JR ended up with YF !!! yay!!!!

  7. I like the ending. It would have been nicer if they included DB there when they exchanged their rings or JR had gotten to tell his son that he is the father. I wish they had shown more sweet stories between YF & JR in this drama. XE finally did something right for once. The last episode seems too rushing to end the drama.

  8. 感覺結局太草率 這個劇集最開頭的時候節奏很快 中後部超級拖沓 有點虎頭蛇尾 不過 還是很喜歡郝建任這個角色 黃河詮釋的很好

  9. This show had SO much potential… what is it with Taiwanese dramas these days? It’s like running a marathon but bailing out halfway..

First of all, there was a lack of a proper showcase of the characters’ development and the progression of their relationships. I would love to have seen more interaction time (i.e. meaningful events) with both YF and JR and/or HR. More playful scenes between them would have been nice, since this is a rom-com after all. The over-acting of the supporting cast was horrible I fast-forwarded nearly all the scenes with Meiling, her evil MIL and current/ex husband. XE’s and JR’s relationship was dealt with cursorily at the end, although I laud the plot line of XE’s noble idiocy – it showed how much she had grown. Love means letting go, too. Since this drama is about the lack of commitment of a man, HR’s back story should have been explored more and not just revealed during the wedding.

Annie Chen’s character YF turned around to accept HR too quickly, but I would blame this on the directors. It became almost too painful to watch her scenes with HR, but maybe that was the intended effect? I will give the directors the benefit of the doubt.

My opinion of Annie Chen’s acting changed as I watched the entire show. She started out as the most compelling character in the show – single mum, trying to get her man back at all costs, strong, yet loving, but then she slowly shrunk into this weak woman who would deny what she truly feels (for no real apparent reason whatsoever – to give DB a home? Why? There are other men she can take time to get to know out there, she needn’t have rushed into a relationship with HR if she didn’t feel anything for him). With all due respect to Annie Chen’s fans out there, I think she was the weak link in the show towards the end. Somehow the emoting didn’t work for me. Perhaps because she’s too young for this role? She’s only 25 this year. But this is not to say she isn’t a good actress. I have seen her in the SETTV shows – she was wonderful in Inborn Pair. This just wasn’t one of her best works. I’m looking forward to her other shows, though. I hope she gets juicier roles, not just in rom-coms.

The pacing of the drama was uneven. It started out fast, then it slowed to a crawl… (with the whole pushing and pulling of YF and JR and the reveal of the child, and XE’s angst). In the end, it got to a comfortable pace. The ending of the drama was unsatisfactory, because it turns out that HR and YF had more romantic chemistry than YF and JR. This actually can’t be helped, and really depends on the actors themselves.

The kid actor for DB was cute, but so stiff… I can’t help comparing him to the kid actor in Autumn’s Concerto, who would have been around that age at the time of filming.

Now, the good points about this drama. Production values seem to be of a high standard – the cinematography was good, the editing, etc. I loved the sets and venues, the styling of all the characters (save for XE’s pigtails and braids – ugh!). Annie Chen looked absolutely stunning in her bridal gown and flower tiara, and not to mention all of her office clothes! The soundtrack was decent (but they overplayed the ending song – it was remixed into a supporting track and played multiple times during one episode). I like how they attempted to layer complexity into the portrayal of the characters, like, as pointed out by Eileen below, HR’s insecurities in the last episode, and JR’s growing love for DB.

So what came through for me were the male actors – particularly playing JR and HR – towards the end. River Huang’s acting grew strong and the scenes showing JR’s letter to DB were truly moving, and HR seemed like a real character with all his flaws. Judging from a concurrent daily drama (Dear Mom), I think Melvin Sia did an excellent job playing HR here. He has really shown his acting range. River Huang isn’t suited for rom-coms because he’s not naturally funny; he seems to be suited for more serious dramas, which is why he probably only started shining when his character started taking more responsibility in the end.

And, the little cutsey graphics that popped up, showing Annie’s expressions! Those were priceless. Sigh, if the writing were tighter and less superficial, this show might have worked. Sigh. Sorry for the long comment
