    MAYBE… just MAYBE

    She bought her own ring (like her co-worker: bought her own wedding dress, photoshoot, etc.) and she’s waiting for Dai Yao Chi in year 2025 to get married.
    Like her co-worker who waited so long for her love, she’s doing the same thing.

    (This way, i think of it as a happy ending)

  2. I just finished watching this series and I didn’t mind how it ended. It’s left to your own interpretation. I interpreted it as their love doesn’t end and they are destined to be with one another. No matter how many years have passed they will always be in each other’s heart. Like the ink story, time will not erase love. Dai Yao Chi is a good/honorable man. He’ll come back for her. What woman in their right mind will let a man like that go especially after knowing why he did what he had to do. I hope the Producers do decide to have a mini-series to continue their love and have a happily ever after ending.
    I don’t think she would ever get together with the weird architect. I really didn’t want them to get together. He’s so indifferent towards her from the beginning. That scene where he was tired and he was like “take off my watch”… Plus I didn’t feel the sincerity from him even when she tought he had good intentions/doted on her and put her first. He wouldn’t treat her as good as Dai Yao Chi would. Buying material things do not equate to love. Its the little things that you remember/do for the one you love that shows your love. I believe the engagement ring she was wearing was from Dai Yao Chi. They were supposed to get married if it wasn’t for his loser father and his debts. She says that she secretly reserves the 17th of every month to think/miss him properly.

  3. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. EVEN IF SHE ISN’T WITH BLUE WHY WOULD SHE GET TOGETHER WITH ANZHE.

    I agree Anzhe was cute and soooo nice in the beginning that even I was rooting for him, but I could never look at him the same way after what he did to her. No matter the reason, I could never forgive someone who was capable of doing that. And you know what, he never actually apologized for his actions, or seemed even the least bit sorry for what he did. THAT’S messed up.

    • I didn’t see it that she got with Ah Zhe. This is my opinion though…because in the note, the note states that in 2025, they will meet again…for my open ending, they will end up together again…but that’s my choice to the open ending because I really like Dai Yao Qi and her together 🙂

  4. So why is this the ending…when…it is supposed to end at episode 14? And why are t dramas all of a sudden sad? When did they take this 180 turn? This is like the Taiwanese movie Apple of my eye..but more pitiful.

  6. after reading so many ppl’s comments about it being a bad ending and that they should have stayed together, my comments:

    1. it looks like an open end to me 2. this drama has been a more poetic one since the start and not an idol drama that’s been written to please the fans 3. i don’t compare this drama with other dramas because like already said this is more an artsy drama and not an entertaining drama 4. i think the ending is okay because it’s actually quite realisitc but still romantic in its own way that they might meet someday again and 5. when i mean realistic i mean realistic – this is more than a drama to me since the writer didn’t put the love focus on just the two of them. the writer combined true love with life and i think dai17 made the right decision after all. i think both of them have grown up ever since their break up tho. i wanted them to marry and live happily ever after too like everyone here who’s watching this drama but.. i think the writer is wanting to tell us another thing about love? that love cannot exist when you don’t live. ofc they could have fought side by side and pay back the debts together but life is just like that. dai17 is a person with his own characteristics and thoughts. jiwei also and deserves a happy marraige too while being young and pretty? jiwei’s mom might have got them into this kind of situation of the ending but she also did this with her own reasons. and that is life. i think it’s naive to say YEAH YOU COULD HAVE DONE THIS AND THAT and everyone would have been happy. i don’t think so. this ending perhaps showed that life is just really like that. sometimes there are things that you can’t control at that very moment but that doesn’t mean you won’t get happy afterwards after a breakup, etc. – that’s what i like about the ending.

    • After re-watching the ending and asking my friend about what the Chinese characters at the end meant…I feel as though they are going to meet again. They are gonna meet again in 2025…and it’s just basically an open ending to me. I feel like they will be together again, it’s just he needs time at the moment to take care of some stuff…I don’t know why everyone is saying it’s a bad ending…I thought it was so beautiful and poetic…which is what this drama is really about.

  10. Wtf! Nonsense! I expected yuan fang to end up w her. I know he’s a physco to some but he’s sooooo cute!!! Omg! Cool and skinny and soft spoken. I thought when he had her for a moment in his house, it was love. He did for love. Anyways, I’d love to be kidnapped by him! Lol! Ok, back to the movie, stupid movie and it sucks to have an ending like that!

  14. Wtf!!! … i ve loved this series for 12 episodes .. how can it be this suck on the last one? Shouldn’t the couple end up together? Totally disappointed. Really like Lan zheng long ang also really really like his act in this role. It is so like him
    I dont understand why editor ended the story this way . There should be some extra ep . Come on … this is what series is for …
    actually .. i almost quit watching taiwan series bcoz of the ending till i found MeiMei .. but after this, i am surely have to wait till it ends b4 watching any taiwan series. At least have to check whether the ending is not abnormal.

    • I know exactly how you feel. The writer really shot herself in the foot. As some one else has said, for me, the show ended at the first half of episode 12. That is how I want to think of and remember the show. Episode 13 is just the writer’s egomaniac trip into oblivion and she crashed and burned as far as I am concerned.

  16. He left her because of his father? What the fuck? Nobody can make me understand it. She did always be with him but father? Where were he when his son was afraid of the dark hole? She was always be with him but the end he chose his father? That’s insane. And Yuen Fang was a Psycho. What did the writer want? We all will be happy if the psycho and Ji be together forever? This drama would be perfect drama if the end wasnt this bad. İ am dissapointed.

      • What reality of life are you talking about? Giving up on the life and love you fought so hard for, just to repay the debt your worthless father (who did not care an iota for you) incurred is a reality? No, that’s down right stupidity!! How is he going to get the money to do that? How is he going to take care of that special need daughter of that kind old man? It is more realistic that he worked together with Ji Wei and his friends to find a pragmatic and realistic solution than what has played out. It defies all good sense and logic and is atypical of Ji Wei and all his friends to just give up on him and let him ruin his and Ji Wei’s life and happiness over such an immature, unrealistic, and simplistic pursuit of moral high ground. What is the purpose of introducing that creep Yuen Fang back into Ji Wei’s life? That she will love him and marry him? Is that a reality of life?
        The script writer has concocted the worst and most unrealistic nor pragmatic end to an otherwise good story. This will go down in history as one of the worst scriptwriting ever.

  23. I am not surprised that this drama should be ending because the couple has come together happily .. what a huge disappointment when Yaoqi has to force himself to walk away from happiness!! Her mum may appear reasonable in her own thinking but destroyed her daughter’s happiness .. will she ever find someone that she truly loves??? This is how the story ends …

  25. Whoa such a standard typical stupid ending! Just because that guy choose to pay back his dad’s debt he had to break up with her? He did not even bothered to tell her the truth himself and let her choose, whether to stay with him or leave. He must think he’s such a saint for choosing a “better” fate for her. PUKE! Self-righteous s.o.b. In Taiwan drama people just loves to choose a hard life. Choose to not be up-front about their problems. Choose to stay miserable coz somehow it makes them feel oh so holy. Ahh puke…

    • Agree. Characters in Taiwanese drama love to show some sort of secret self-sacrifice. He didn’t even tell her and let her choose her own life. He had no right to choose it for her and made that terrible lie. Why does the female character always have to so naive and dumb? The lie was so obvious. They ended up having a solution to his problem, but he then disappeared. Total bullshit ending.

    • That’s the problem I have about the mom’s advice: “Always make your decision as if you were her biological older brother”. UM how about make decisions that concern TWO people WITH HER??? Why does she never get any say???
