That said, the rest of the actors and actresses here are doing a great job. Kudos to the characters playing Mai Xiao and Xiao En, and Xiao En’s father and stepmom.
Chris Wu brings every single character he plays to life. He’s the quintessential versatile actor that puts more than 100% effort into his craft. It’s both a boon and bane, because he’s totally at the mercy of the screenwriters and directors.
