  7. Personally I am here cos of Jiro, I am his faithful supporter. But I am amazed at how the actor playing Xin Yu is quite a charmer too. I didn’t really grow onto his character in KO One Return as Ling but he is exults a rather likeable charm here. That said, Jiro’s still the best to me! 😀

      • i thought the same when i saw the preview of this drama, but then i also thought ima give it a try maybe it’ll surprise me, which it kinda did so thats good. It IS true that international remakes dont tend to be better than the original but thr are exceptions, i dont personally like jiro as an actor and the actor who acted as jeremy, but their role was really well set that it compensates, so yeah afterall its not that bad haha, just need to forget about the previous versions and personal hatred towards actors

  16. this version does a better job in justifying why the female lead ends up with taijing and not xinyu (shinwoo). SO EXCITED FOR NEXT MONDAY TO COME!

        • Oh god. Not you again… For someone who hates Jiro, Le Le, Evan and everything and anything about this adaptation (besides the korean dude playing Xin Yu, of course) you do spend an awful lot of time commenting on this drama, huh? Jeez. There’s nothing worse than brainwashed k-fangirls.

          • lol no, I just watched a korean drama called flower boys next door and it was awful, =.=”” the main lead was cute and all but there is this lack of maturity, realness, and authenticity that some of the taiwanses dramas has like in time with you and dandelion love and etc etc
            so no, I don’t like all korean dramas, and I think they exaggerate too much

          • however, you are beautiful is supposed to be an exaggerated romantic comedy drama, so I think they should step it up and do it like or even better than the korean version, if they can’t then screw the copyrights and make their own twisted happy ending

          • if they are gonna copy everything , even the songs, from the korean shows, then they should at least try to make it as good as the korean version or even better, you know what I’m saying?

          • shin woo is an korean guy? I didn’t even know that? no wonder his korean was so good! and what is lele and evan? is that the stupid minan girl and the drummer that tries to be jeremy, but is actually a boy out the streets that they grabbed to fill the empty hole in the cast at the last minute?

Flower boy next door n Heartstrings were really good shows, srry if i offended u but anyway, we hv different views but i jus dont tink tat we hv the right to say wat or which show sucked.

          • Haters? The only hater I see here is you. Belittling everything else just so you can worship korean dude and make him seem superior. Guess what? Pretty much everyone here watched the korean version and they probably thought Shin Woo was the better choice (including me). However, we’re not as biased as not to notice that there’s some significant changes in this version. Mainly Tai Qing’s personality. He was a bad and completely illogical choice in the original version, he’s not so bad in the Tw version. Their relationship has more depth. Simple as that.

            And mind your words please. The way you insult the other member of the cast really make you seem desperate.

          • first of all, what made tae kyung tae kyung was his weird and obnoxious personality, but with a soft heart inside. the TK in this version is only faking his personality on the outside. I am a little biased b/c I have seen jiro’s bubbly personality in real life and in other dramas and in this drama through the stupid girl’s imaginations
            it just ruins the his whole image and doesn’t give the TK vibe
            i am desperate
            desperate for a better cast, for a better casting
            but we don’t all get all we want don’t we?
            I am already used to so many books, movies, and shows ruined by bad casting and acting that I’m used to it

            so mind you!

          • and shin woo wasn’t the better choice in the korean version
            and stop trying to state it like a fact
            I thought TK was the better choice in the korean version

            shin woo was just too sensitive
            and plus, the actor in real life thinks himself a big shot
            he was immediately put into the lead character in the drama heartstrings (which sucked)
            and rejected many shows afterwards that did not give him the lead role opportunity =.=”’

          • yes true, you’re very capable of analyzing original TK’s personality, and yes again, Jiro’s version certainly do not have the same vibes.

            imho i dun find TK an attractive character in the original version, there is something about his expressions or the way he talks or even raising an eyebrow that irks me, and its exactly what you wrote – about jiro’s personality that makes this TK muchx3 more like-able (to me).

            but thats MY pov and i wont insist anyone to agree with me – what worked for me may not works for all.

            as for the imaginary scene – i believe its just for fun…i rem seeing him having exaggerated / funny scenes in alot of dramas – ISWAK, KO one, 花樣 etc….so not sure what you meant by ruins his image…

            at the end of the day, we all have freedom of speech. its not necessary to retaliate at other’s pov of your comments, they are afterall comments iykwim.

          • actually imho, the way TK irks his eyebrows and pulls all those pranks is what makes him lovable for me XDDDD

            I mean, this is what it’s all about
            people writing their comments and opinions on here and we can just agree to disagree

            jiro is getting better in this drama though
            the newest episode w/ him changing his style for Go min nam and his hairstyle and acting (saying you will be dead if you say you want to stay in my room) was priceless

            and now that I think about it, as the episodes keeps rolling on, I’m more and more for jiro

            because first of all, I don’t even know WHY xingyu LIKES GMN
            I mean, the stupid girl did nothing to deserve his love

            I mean, he bought shoes for her and wanted her to ride the ferris wheel with him and everything for what?!
            just because she’s clumsy, has a great voice, and a big secret?
            like it’s unnatural
            at least jiro is not desperately in love with the girl just cause =.=””

            and to be honest xingyu is too good for the girl anyways
            so I don’t really care anymore who ends up with who

        • …. i guess everything korean to you automatically becomes appealing. anything branded with “korean” automatically becomes that much better to you. people like you are just ridiculous and are an absolute joke. you degrade your own race and make koreans so freaking superior. don’t get me wrong i love korean culture and music, but just degrading my own race and worshipping “korean everything” is just so stupid.

            if I was degrading my own race, then I wouldn’t be coming here and watching all these taiwanese dramas and commenting on them

            second of all, my race is asian , not korean, not chinese, not taiwanese

            race is a physical biological characteristic

            ethnicity is a cultural characteristic

            I think you meant ethnicity

            please study up on your sociology before arguing

            third of all, I can’t degrade mine anything because I’m not from taiwan, I may be from mainland china but that’s still not taiwan

            we speak the same w/ tweed accents but we write simplify and from left to right instead of up to down

            fourth of all, I have watched about almost 50 some taiwanese dramas span of my childhood to teenage years and only a dozen korean dramas

            I don’t think I’m an korean drama k pop die hard fan
            I have friends that are JYJ SNSD k pop hard core fans , but not me
            I stick to taiwanese mainly b/c of the language is easier for me

            I only like some of the exaggerations and elegance of some of the korean dramas, but I only watch the popular ones like secret garden, rooftop prince, coffee prince, you are beautiful etc
            I don’t go all out w/ korean shows

            so stop making assumptions about people
            and judge before you know them

  20. I gotta say that I was all for Shin Woo in the original version. And I could never understand why/how Mi Nam falls for Tae Kyung when he was so cold and mean to her pretty much all the time and she had the perfect guy (Shin Woo) right next to her. However, Tai Qing is slowly winning me over. I don’t know if it’s Jiro’s very own warmth or the way this version of the character was written, but the truth is that we get to see a lot more of his gentle side. And that’s good. It won’t be so painful when she chooses him over Xin Yu 😛

    • Same here, I was a bit disappointed when Go Mi Nam was so blind & did not even notice how nice & gentle Shin Woo hyung was in the Korean version. I was so much hoping that she would choose him rather than Tae Kyung. Glad that in this version, Tai Qing is more caring, gentle, & manly, which makes it easier for me to accept Mei Nan’s choice.

      • Totally agree. In the Korean version, Tae Kyung and Mi Nam had funny and cute scenes together, but lacked the emotional development for me. So I’m glad to see them add more depth to their relationship before they develop romantic feelings here. I like how they did the scene on the rooftop where Ni Nam has her emotional breakdown. The Korean version felt awkward to me how TK held her on the side sitting on the ground. The hug that Tai Qing gave Mi Nam was infinitely more comforting and consoling!

        • You wish. There’s actually a lot more skinship between Tai Qing and Mei Nan in this version. It’s gonna be amusing to watch you getting upset as poor, dear Xiu Yu is left behind and can’t help but watch the girl of his dreams falling in love with quite a decent guy (contrary to the k version where she falls for a jerk). Ha. I’m so looking forward to the next couple of episodes 😉

  23. How I wished Xin Yu A.K.A huang in deok/huang ren de will end up with Mei Nan. But I guess that’s impossible. Cryyyyyyyy :'( Haiz. Not that i don’t like Jiro Wang. It is just that he is always being the main character… I guess that’s what he gets for being soo popular.

  24. OH MY GOD!!! I Can’t wait for next week!!! The preview got me crazy!!! But.. thinking about it… isnt Huang Tai Jing and Gao Mei Nan step brother and sister to each other??!?! Or am I misunderstanding something.. hmmmmm… anyways, I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE!!! I Hope Xin Yu can be with Mei Nan!!! OMG!!! i am going crazy!!!!!!!!
