一飛storyline is alittle alike to 七惠storyline in 愛上巧克力
the mother is not totally in the wrong… any mothers who knw abt this wil definitely be really worried and want their children to be away from such family… 🙁
able to tolerate and understand as a mum who wants to protect her children. but i as a child, i think i prefer a mum not to sentence the person to death so quickly, especially to have seen xiao fei’s personality/character. and yes, i do not like her (li ma ma) either. her voice is a little irritating and the way she react to things at times (rather most of the times actually).
Great to hear from your perspective! I believed Li ma ma’s character is written as a very protective mum, however the actress playing her part is ” over acting” somewhat to get on the nerves of the general audiences.
So far, no one is getting behind her on how she has portrayed herself handling the issues of her family. Maybe, the script writer can give some more open minded friends to improve her character into accepting life challenges in today’s environment.
I really hate YW’s mom. She’s like the most annoying mom EVER. Every time I see her on screen, I just feel like stabbing her with a knife.
i don’t think this should be named 4 daughters, more like “my irritating mother”.
It’s because of her that an qi cannot announce her divorce and have to keep it in, thou she can actually face it bravely.
it’s because of her that yi wan and xiao fei cannot get together now and SHE IS THE ONE who made yi wan lie!
qing qing wise, she’s a workaholic, proving herself capable because they all look up to an qi and how they have to be successful. qingqing cannot comment much yet cause their story is still on the lines.
don’t even get me started on the last daughter. SPOILT. IRRITATING. CHILDISH. the mother did not even discipline her well. WHO TO BLAME?
i love this show, but the mom is the real irritating one here >=( shes a mom, not a 3 year old kid. why must everyone pacify her over the littlest things?
The Chinese title says ‘My 4 Precious Daughters’ but the English title is more appropriate, ‘Dear Mom’.
I guess if you combine them, it tells the relationship between a mom & her 4 daughters….or more like a mom doing what she thinks is right for her girls.
4 messed up love ~and so their mother can’t stand it anymore -> break down -> want to leave the home so badly..
And you forgot, she needs to go buy some canned foodstuff to release her stress,,
Urgh! I do not think QQ boss will give good guidance to XF on his romancing YW. I do not look forward to XF hanging out with him too much. But must give credit to XF for being SHARP to pick up that he loves some else other his wife.
Now , if XF hangs out with QQ at the office the office sound, he may be able to come to a conclusion the the other party is actually QQ in the boss life, that is going to be interesting.
I like the look on XF’s face when he thought “what? Marriage is this bad?” I agree that Boss won’t be able to keep his secret much longer. XF is cheering on his assistant with QQ. He’s going to be shocked if he found out QQ’s in the middle of the two men. YW’s may end up knowing about it too.. which will add more burden to her too.
I feel the same way too! I don’t want XF to hang out with this man either! I haven’t found a single reason / redeeming quality that makes me like QQ’s boss. In fact, out of the four relationship, QQ’s relationship is the one I do not have any interest in and that’s such a pity because I don’t mind QQ as a character except for her attraction to her boss. Sometimes I feel like Lee mama should be paying more attention to QQ’s attraction to her boss than YW and XF, even though I understand her concern for YW. I mean, at the very least, XF isn’t married and he’s such a great guy even though his past family background might be a little complicated.

“Romance” and “relationship” his view and advice should not be counted valid.
Xiao Fei, be smart , don’t listen to him regarding romance and relationships. He is a bad influence. Just go away.
Another great episode for XF and YW .. although it is going to be a long road for YW and XF before they can see true happiness which includes blessings from both parents!
I have to say that the director did a great job in casting the right actors/actresses for this drama … Melvin and Joanne truly shine in their roles here .. same as AQ & QL and QQ and boss although lesser chemistry in these couples. AQ & QL is a good match up too.
oh no, in the preview the big sister is gonna ask Xiao Fei to leave Yi Wan!!

I like the way Xiao Fei look at Yi Wan, it is always so gentle and loving. He always lean forward to speak to her, she is always so shy !!
Sorry, I got it wrong. I think the big sister just want to be sure Xiao Fei is really serious about the relationship with Yi Wan.
I hope AQ supports the two. I am thinking she probably stands by Li Mama, but I feel at the same time she’s gone through her own divorce and doesn’t want to see both parties to be in a lot of pain. I think AQ respects XF as a person but if she thinks he is bad for YW, she will tell him to stay away. I hope it all goes well. 🙂
What QQ boss said marriage is so wrong: he said : “Marriage is the beginning of trouble”…… bad bad man. If he cannot be faithful to his wife, even if he has a lover/girlfriend, that relationship is trouble too. A relationship requires commitment and faithfullness. Hmmm

Du mommy is the most liberated mum ever in Taiwan drama land. Outgoing, expressive, giving space and creating opportunities for XF and YW! She is kind to YW and even tried to prep YW of all resistance from her parents.
QQ and her boss love line is unfolding, They have their own emotional battles to fight. At least it is a consolation to YW, that QQ is supportive of her budding relationship with XF.
Anxiously looking forward AQ/QL developments too.
In part two, at the door Xiao Fei say bye to ” Yi Wan and Mum” it really feels like a husband saying bye to his wife/family before he goes to work. Super sweet.

Yeah.. I’m glad Du mom supports them. I’m starting to get why she wants XF to be happy. Her son has no father and no sister, Du Mom’s been raising him on her own like AQ with Jerry. I mean Li Mama doesnt like her because of the “Mob” background.
YW was scared at first too, but after getting to know them, she understands the difficulties XF has to face. I mean I’m sure growing up for him was tough.. I mean none of the kids want to be friends with him because other mothers would act just like Li Mama and start running away!
Every family has problems, people just need to be more understanding and accepting.. (We are all getting upset over this TW drama..anyways.. I love you all! 😀 )

I love Du Mom. It was so heartfelt when she tells YW thank you for caring for my son, and that the upcoming road is going to be difficult. She’s the best Mom in Law a girl can have. 🙂
She’s also hilarious! She pushes all the right buttons to make them feel so nervous around each other.. No kiss goodbye? That’s okay, we can practice next time. LOL!
Xiao FeiFei mum is good at making up excuses. She said she is sensitive towards buttons therefore Yi Wan has to help Xiao FeiFei to change. Only Cen Tian Ciao can think about such excuse …… hah haas

I agree with everyone here.. YW’s mom is making things difficult.. is it because she’s so proud of AQ that she needs YW to follow the same footsteps? What happens if Li Mama finds out AQ is divorced? She’s going to blow up part 2. And don’t forget QQ.. she’s gonna be more pissed that QQ likes a man who’s married.
I understand worried, but I think its more of a pride/image for the family? Li Mama doesn’t want her and the family to be “looked down” because YW is dating the son of mob boss. Its going to create somewhat inconvenience? Someone correct me!
The more Mom and Dad pushes YW, she is going to break. We can see in the episode that she is going to cry nonstop. When is mom going to understand its emotionally tearing her apart? The secret dates is one thing, but next she’s going to have no choice to spend the night at XF’s place because she doesn’t want to go home.
Maybe AQ can play Frozen’s “let it go” for Jerry and he can
explain it to grandma!

Yeah, it seems YW’s mum is living in a different era. She seems to hassle YW more then the other daughters. Her directions and expectations are the rule. Look forward to Li papa to manage the home front to give YW space!
Although I don’t like how autocratic Li Mama is, I can kind of understand her reason. She’s a homemaker who spent her life looking after her family. They are her everything. But she needs to learn to let go & let them live their lives.
Du Mama on the other hand is much more liberated but rather impatient.
These 2 mamas are definitely making us love & hate them at the same time.
