  1. I as the manager fired my bodyguard, but I as he zhong qi employ ai jia as my personal bodyguard. No one has right to fire her or give any comments. SUPER SHIOK! 😀

  2. Wow Huang Hong Sheng & Teresa meng_-_-cute cute_–This my favorite drama_—_:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)_—Ciayooooo….

  3. the directors are really getting into the zhongqi and ai jia process. well mostly zhongqi anyway.
zhongqi is thinking about her alot, putting his arm around her, looking at a picture of her, telling his whole family how much she means to him, telling her to take care of herself first before him, helping her put her arm back in the sling, putting her seatbelton for her, at 29:00 when he was talking about the all important ai jia, he faced her with this weird smile. It’s alot to take in for one episode.

  4. NOOOOOOO!!!! its happening too fast! he cant show that he likes ai jia right now! theres 51 episodes left!!!!!! :O
but otherwise, this was a pretty good episode. zhongqi really did change. when he was typing about his dad and ai jia, he said ai jia was his______ and then that annoying ming yu came in, i wonder wat he was thinking. >:]
    Btw, AWESOME GRANDMA! <3

  5. Another thought: I have come to believe that what makes a good drama are not just the leads, but all the other actresses and actors who are bolstering the drama as well. In this show, there’s only 1 character that is detestable, and purposefully so – Mingyu, Zhongqi’s sister. The rest of the characters are pretty likeable and easy on the eye. A good idol drama doesn’t need to have super good looking characters to rein in watchers (TAC had Van Ness and it flopped). Actors and actresses that are not good-looking at first glance, but who certainly grow on you, suffice as well. Actors and actresses WHO LOOK GOOD together are also key. Zhongqi and Ai Jia look so great as a couple!

And for a long drama like this, pacing is so so important! We’re at the infancy of the Zhongqi – Ai Jia romance. Hope they take another 25 more episodes to fall in love proper. And we also haven’t been introduced to key characters such as Alan’s mum and Qingmei yi’s husband. Now I’m also getting curious about Alan’s ex-wife.

The plot doesn’t have to be believable on ALL counts, but probably 60% upwards is fine. Nobody remembers most of what they watch, anyway!

  6. The start of a new story arch has begun with Qingmei yi – apparently she is the guarantor for her husband’s debts. The letter she received in the last episode (and at the beginning of this episode) was a notification from a creditor that the debts had been transferred to her name, because obviously her husband had defaulted on a loan of some sort (the principal debt). I’m puzzling how Qingmei yi became guarantor for so many of her husband’s loans. She needs to consent in writing – but maybe she did it long ago when she still trusted him.

The first few scenes were a welcome change, I did feel Qingmei yi’s sadness and helplessness. And I like how her daughter and son are dealing with the situation in the only way that they know- spouting platitudes and the other being reactive and caustic. I can kind of predict that Qingmei yi’s long time childhood playmate, Zheng Ba (Ai Jia’s dad) will help her through this horrible predicament. And I like them together! Ai Jia’s dad is just so dense at times, but such a softy. Typical military man.On our OTP front, Zhongqi has changed so much overnight in his attitude towards Ai Jia, that I can’t recognize the character anymore! I haven’t figured out whether it is good or bad. But I just hope it doesn’t descend into something boring, because the fiery chemistry between Xiao Gui and Meng Geng Ru was present only when they were bickering. And he keeps her army scarf with him all the time! *Squeeee*

It’s good that they’re finally putting some action in the show! It ain’t called Sweet Sweet BODYGUARD for nothing. Haha. I really liked Zhongqi’s declaration to the whiny b**** of a sister: “Zheng Ai Jia is not just important in my day-to-day living, but she’s important in my life!” The layering complexities of this show are surprising me for an idol drama. I think he wants her around now so he can protect her, too! And he just needs her by his side all the time and that is just so sweet and endearing. Viewers, the roles are reversing! Remember when I commented about a week ago that these roles would reverse? The tides are changing and I think the producers are finally choosing to exhibit Zhongqi’s masculinity in the show. I found this turning point to be extremely obvious when he ordered her not to forgo her own safety to protect him (which is the whole point of being a bodyguard in the first place). And in the preview it looks like he is starting to protect her whilst she protects him!

I just hope this won’t become a MELANCHOLIC drama – show, save some lighthearted and funny moments, ok? We need them! The characters have been really consistent thus far save for Zhongqi’s change from the hot-headed and OCD boss to the mature and resolute one.

On a totally separate note – interesting fact. Zhongqi wears sneakers with his suits! hurhur. And do you realize that he’s dropped the “Chu yu mei” name altogether already?

I won’t say this drama is perfect, but it’s really a solid one to-date for me. Of course, like some of you have pointed out, there are really some unbelievable moments and leaps of logic. For example, I don’t understand why Ai Jia should still continue in Runzhi’s employ when she’s injured – shouldn’t she be on some sort of medical leave? But I would say, I love this show and right now I look forward to every single episode. It just speaks to the heart on so many levels; family, friendship, love, sibling love, expectations, duty/responsibilities vs. passion & interests.

    • ya. and it is obvious they are going to develop the budding romances of qin mei + ai jia’s dad and cheng en + ting ting. and ya lun’s family background is going to come into the light anytime too, and his ex-wife will come and stir up some trouble, maybe taking wei ni away from alan or getting cai jie’s jealous. and ming yu….. i doubt she will take it at her stride tho, also dunno wat is she jealous abt ai jia. juz becoz people listen to ai jia more? well she should reflect wat comes out from her mouth first. -,-

    • This is crazy but i await eagerly for 10pm every night to catch this drama. I have never been so enraptured before. But at the back of my mind I am so afraid the scriptwriter or producer will do something really stupid (like what happen to TAC – I have developed a phobia after watching TAC which I abandoned halfway). So I am hoping that the momentum and flow of this storyline will be maintained to prevent another TAC.

And Yes, Yes, I so loved the sneakers cum suit combi.

  7. Ai jia looks really weird…. Her head is so disproportionate… ESP in the scene where shes giving wring mei ah Yi money…

  8. 如果世界上有复制男友的机器,我一定要复制一个完美男友–〉小鬼黄鸿升! 真的样样都很优秀,很吸引人! <3
