Firstly, I got really interested to watch this drama because of the ost, it was totally dark and amazing, esp the part when they show one side of Joe smiling, then suddenly it turned into a drawn creepy smile(to emphasise the fact that his smiles had became fake yet he’s still need to pretend to keep those smile). Secondly, I find Joe really handsome inside this drama, his acting had become better compared to last time. Thirdly, sorry to say, but I find it kinda weird for Joe to act as a guy who hallucinate about this girl (Summer) when he’s depressed and have inner conflict with himself. Because I just finished rewatching “They Kissed Again”, and inside the drama, Summer (Hao Mei) was Joe’s (Jiang Zhi Shu’s brother: Jiang Yu Shu) younger brother girlfriend. So it got really weird while watching it, esp when Joe (Well) is hallucinating about Summer (The girl who is call Xiao Ru). Hahaha.

    • the girl isn’t real. it’s just a coping mechanism for Well to feel not so lonely because at least the girl understands her while everyone doesn’t. even the girl she has worked with for seven years, and his manager. they don’t understand his needs at all, therefore, he created this character to make him feel not so lonely and more understandable.

      it is evidently shown in the show that the girl isn’t real. how can she appear in the airplane then the seven-eleven. the suddenly appeared in the psychologist’s office as a nurse? it doesn’t make sense.

  11. 这部戏其实反映到比较黑暗还有人生挣扎的一面，感觉很不一样，值得期待啦~
    This drama is actually pretty good and different, it’s showing a dark yet different side of people’s inner emotions and insecurities. It’s worth watching , not all lovey dovey like most dramas nowadays.

  16. I love the first episode, hope to see more going in the next episodes, especially Zhang man Lings side of the story, it’s like the character’s feelings and thoughts are not exposed at all. I kinda dislike Liu Cheng Wei for his recklessness towards Zhang Man Ling, he might think all their feelings are fake but there are nicer ways for breaking up. Anyway, Joe performed well and I am anticipating the development of his character, he’s quite selfish right now. Yes, he can”t be true to himself, but that is kinda part of being an actor and a public figure. It’s a nice sunject to discuss in a drama, I like it that this drama is not a fluffy romcom like other TW dramas.

    And for those people who say this is ridiculous because no one is really happy with their job and should just accept life. I think it is still an interesting subject, there are so many people who suffer from their job and get a burn out, so it is no difference to a star from the entertainment industry. And to accept and cherish what he has, I guess everyone need an amount of time to find their way to happiness, so nevertheless, I think this is a worthy drama to watch. I just hope it will keep up on this par until the end.

    BTW, I thought the reference to My love from the star is rather ridiculing that drama and not trying to be popular because of it. I personally liked that drama in the beginning as well until it started to drag, and in the end it was only a nice fluffy romcom, nothing to be remembered.

  23. love this drama, finally something ‘real’ that can be related into real life. I love this idea and sort of darkness that lives in everyone’s heart, not just rainbows and sunshine like all the other dramas produced in Taiwan.

  24. all i saw this whole episode is a whiny dog that couldnt stop whining about his job. Everyone has a tough job just live with it and enjoy your life later. So disappointed from this drama. Come on…

    • not everyone can live like a star… i don’t know why he can’t cherish what he has…. i understand his feeling of losing purpose in life tho

      • The character is someone who has mood disorder and other psychological disorders. If he can control his feelings so well and think in a logical order, he would be out of character. Please read up on some abnormal psychology! It’s really a topic that the society should give more attention to.

    • The thing is though, he doesn’t even have a life ! Enjoy life later ? When he is retired or in the coffin ? Yes everyone has problems, but you are not him, so who are you to say his problems are nothing ? His job gave him depression and anxiety. These are serious problems that should not be ignored or deemed as unimportant.

      There are tons of people in real life that quit their job because it makes them unhappy. Your job is part of your life too. Unlike a lot of problems in the world that could not be changed, I think we should all do something to change our lives to be happier if we can. After all, YOLO right ?

      I don’t agree with the way he deals with the problems he have, but I don;t think we can undermine somebody’s feelings or problems. Also, i think for once in a long time a tw drama portray dark or problematic main characters instead of fluffy, romantic and honestly unrealistic people.
      It allows the characters to actually grow and change. Not everyone is perfect.

    • OMG. you need to open up your eyes. he is not whining about his job, he loves his job. he loves acting, he just feel that things are getting more and more fake. nobody cares about making good films anymore. they put more focus on what the audience like, because audience are the ones that keep the money going. but passion is something that you should do even without getting anything back. that’s what he is upset about. the world is so fake. we are too focused on what we can gain instead of what we can give.

  26. 一開始模仿來自星星的你就瞎掉了 就不能老老實實的寫自己的故事劇本而不是藉別國的夯劇拉抬聲勢嗎? 還有雖然鄭元暢的演技有進步很多但沒天分就是沒天分 還是離會演差很多 看了很卡很做作的感覺

      • people are tired of the same storyline that’s all, and showbiz is running out of ideas, that’s why the whole “alien” idea is like the “next thing” especially when it goes along with the whole fantasy theme

        remember when people were crazy over vampires and werewolves?

        although it’s ridiculous, but it makes people curious and let them escape from harsh reality for a while.

        this drama is reality

        for those that want to be more pragmatic…
