  1. At the end, when the letter was being written, it should’ve stopped halfway and transitioned to the scene where LC recieved the mail and finished reading the letter. To be honest, I thought that filming techniques were not the best. There were many valuable scenes that deserved a longer moment to allow the actors to fully express the emotions. Other than that, wonderful drama.

  2. Looking forward to the movie where JN is more grown up and mature and able to provide LC with more emotional support. Hope RW and BX will get together in the movie.

The scriptwriters did a fantastic job with this drama. Great acting by the cast.

Thanks Sugoi for uploading this. 🙂

    • A year may not change much if life wasn’t eventful, but for LC and JE a lot changed. He has been battling his dad’s case for the past year and also getting ready to be drafted; she left for a completely different country, with a different language and different culture. Their growth within that year is a HUGE difference.
LC may not be as idealistic as he used to be when he was a carefree student because he now has to understand and look very deeply into the dark side of politics. JE is not going to be as bright as she was before the breakup because he is her first love and her heart is broken. You never love as intensely as your first love because you haven’t felt pain; one thing about JE was her wholeheartedness that she had for her and LC’s love. I’m not saying that she isn’t going to love him wholeheartedly again, but the caution sign will forever exist. She also went to a completely different culture, regardless if she met friends and had a great time or not, she is still a different person now. She has seen a world that the rest of her friends, except for BX, has not and that alone makes her different from before.

  3. I think Ren Wei really shined in this drama and a part of me secretly wishes that he ends up with Jia En. Don’t get me wrong I love LC but I feel he is too perfect and carries too much burden to have a future with Jia En. Ren Wei is so much more real and three-dimensional and I loved watching him grow and mature throughout the entire drama. Ren Wei’s character actually has so much potential to be the male lead.

I actually really like this ending, although heartbreaking but very realistic in showing that sometimes life doesn’t always end up the way we want it to be. Although JE and LC parted ways, it’s the bittersweet feeling that they will always carry the special memories they had in college in their hearts as they move on in life.

  4. “Ver Joan”~ At that episode when LC first wrote that, I thought how cute it was that he was constantly thinking about her, now I know, it’s a foreshadowing of their distance. What a heartbreaking ending. A great ending, and there was closure for me and I don’t think I would have liked it as much if JE really did stay in Taiwan, because life needs to go on and there will always be the whole “I didn’t leave Taiwan because of you.” That’s not a burden that the two of them should ever have. This ending was perfect.. but heartbreaking none the less…..

This has become a classic drama! Congrats!
